Our new hybrid search enters closed beta

Our next generation search combines exact keyword matching with an understanding of meaning, in a single pass. Queries that name a product find it instantly, and queries that describe one no longer come back empty: a search for “warm jacket for winter” finds parkas even when no product title says “warm”.

Your merchandising carries through to search as well. Boost and bury rules apply to results, so the products you are backing rise in search too.

The new search is in closed beta with selected merchants on Shopify. Search is generally available for Centra and headless storefronts.
