Recommendations now react to each shopper’s views and cart
Recommendation rows in the Depict app on Shopify can now react to what each shopper has looked at and has in their cart, worked out as the page loads.
Recommendation rows in the Depict app on Shopify can now react to each shopper. Depict works the row out as the page loads, from what that shopper has just looked at and what is in their cart, so two shoppers on the same product page can see different rows.
- Add a Recently viewed step that shows what this shopper looked at, newest first.
- Base Similar products, Bought together, Viewed together or Pairs well with on this product, the shopper’s recent views, their cart, or any mix of them.
- Sort a step by similarity to what the shopper has viewed or added to the cart.
- Rows built this way carry a Personalized badge, and the editor preview has a simulated shopper with a sample cart and viewing history, so you see what a real visitor would get before you save.
The editor around it is simpler too. Every step reads as a sentence, Cancel puts a change back, a progress bar shows rows rebuilding, and your first row goes live on your storefront as soon as you save it. You can also limit New arrivals to recent days, keep sold-out products in a row, and set how many shared orders Bought together needs before it pairs two products.
